NITRIC BIOTHERAPEUTICS HIRES JOEL LIPPMAN, M.D. AS
GM OF ITS ANTIMICROBIAL BUSINESS
Bristol, PA, February 12, 2008 – Nitric BioTherapeutics (Nitric Bio) today announced the hiring of Joel S. Lippman, M.D. as General Manager of its Antimicrobial Business. A graduate of NY Medical College with a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University, Dr. Lippman has had significant involvement with medicine, clinical development and antimicrobial products. His experience includes pharmaceutical and medical device development as well as teaching and clinical practice in OB/GYN. As General Manager, he will be based at Nitric Bio headquarters in Bristol, PA.

Dr. Lippman brings more than fifteen years of pharmaceutical and medical device knowledge and experience to Nitric Bio. He worked for several years at Wyeth-Ayerst, followed by 15 years at Johnson & Johnson, including roles as VP of Clinical Trials at Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals and Worldwide VP of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Ethicon.
Nitric Bio, a venture backed biopharmaceutical and medical device company is developing treatments for the healing of chronic wounds and the resolution of infections using topical application of nitric oxide gas (gNO). Nitric oxide has significant broad spectrum antimicrobial effects, including potent effects against drug-resistant bacterial strains, as well as effects on inflammation, collagen production and blood flow.
